From October 18 to 26, 2025, under the initiative of the Department of Education of Turkistan Region, the heads of technical and vocational, as well as post-secondary education institutions, paid an official visit to the People’s Republic of China, particularly to Zhengzhou City in Henan Province.
The main purpose of this visit was to expand educational cooperation between Turkistan Region and the People’s Republic of China, to exchange experiences in developing the vocational and technical education system, and to strengthen international partnership ties.
During the visit, the participants visited a number of leading technical and vocational institutions in China, where they became acquainted with the organization of the educational process and the experience of implementing the dual education system. They also observed the operation of innovative laboratories and production workshops for students, exploring effective ways to enhance the material and technical base.
The Director of the D. Kunaev Agrarian and Technical College, Mr. S. Aikozov, held a special meeting with Mr. Wang, Head of the International Relations Department of the Henan Provincial Department of Education. The meeting took place in a warm and businesslike atmosphere.
The parties discussed strengthening cooperation in the field of education between the two countries, aligning educational programs, facilitating exchanges of teachers and students, as well as implementing joint scientific and innovative projects.
As a result of the meeting, both sides agreed to develop a draft memorandum of cooperation and to launch an academic mobility program for students and teachers starting in 2026.
In addition, the Chinese partners expressed their interest in developing joint educational programs with the colleges of Turkistan Region in such fields as agrotechnology, digital technologies, and the green economy.
The parties also considered concrete proposals for organizing online seminars, experience-sharing platforms, and international master classes between educational institutions of the two countries.
This visit has taken the international cooperation of Turkistan Region’s educational institutions to a new level, creating great opportunities for establishing sustainable partnerships with foreign colleagues.
By adopting international best practices, colleges in Turkistan Region are taking concrete steps to improve the quality of education, introduce modern teaching methodologies, and train specialists who meet the demands of the labor market.
Today, innovation, as well as the integration of production and education, are among the main priorities of the technical and vocational education system in Turkistan Region. The cooperation established with the People’s Republic of China will undoubtedly contribute to strengthening friendship and mutual trust between the two nations.
As a result of the visit to Zhengzhou, the delegation from Turkistan Region gained valuable experience, and this cooperation is expected to continue systematically in the future.
International partnership is a key tool for improving education quality, enhancing professional capacity, and opening new opportunities.
